jessica sturgell is a pro-liberation movement artist based in southern west virginia.

she works primarily as a printmaker, with an emphasis on utilizing bookmaking and screenprinting to create small and intimate works highlighting the authentic stories and experiences of appalachian people.

she is currently serving as the stay project’s communications coordinator, and as a graphic artist for the c.a.m.p. collective. she has previously been featured by appalshop’s creator’s fund, and on queer appalachia.
