jessica sturgell is a pro-liberation movement artist based in southern west virginia.

she works primarily as a printmaker, with an emphasis on utilizing bookmaking and screenprinting to create small and intimate works highlighting the authentic stories and experiences of appalachian people.

she is currently a member of the tamarack’s ripples in williamson design team. she has previously been featured by appalshop’s creator’s fund, and on queer appalachia.
